Siica Smillie has been around horses for her whole life on her parents' farm and started taking riding lessons at the age of 8. She started competing a few years later in hunter/jumper at the schooling shows and then later at the trillium shows. For the past decade, Siica has owned and show American Quarter Horses across Ontario, Quebec and the United States, with much success. Some of her achievements include OQHA Year-End Champion and Reserve Champion in multiple events, AQHA World Show Qualifier in Hunter Under Saddle and Over Fences, AQHYA World Show Qualifier in Hunter Under Saddle and Equitation and Hunter Hack, AQHA Level 1 Championships Finalist, 2x All American Quarter Horse Congress Finalist, Region 4 Regional Experience Champion, Reserve Champion and many Top 5 and Top 10 placings.

Siica trains horses with knowledge, confidence, patience and compassion. She attributes her success in the show ring to not only those good training practices, but also her willingness to dedicated time and effort to pain and injury prevention as well as management of injuries in her equine partners.

 

Siica specializes in finishing green/young horses in hunter/jumpers, hunter under saddle, equitation, western pleasure and horsemanship.
